Recently, RHTC organized a training in the city of Tiraspol, so through this event we continue to promote relevant information about: sexual and reproductive health, physiological and psychological changes occurring during adolescence, sexually transmitted infections and HIV/AIDS, contraceptive methods recommended for young people, teenage pregnancy, safety and healthy relationships.

Thirty-five people, representatives of Transnistrian NGOs, representatives of the Reproductive Health and Family Planning Center in Tiraspol and other Reproductive Health Centers in Transnistria were trained in the peer-to-peer method. Participants also benefited from useful and up-to-date information on the management and logistics of medical abortion.

The training was led by mentors with experience in the areas discussed: Laura Tarlapan Roman, Oxana Ceban and Catalina Comendant. They transmitted the relevant information through the peer-to-peer communication method, which involves a training programme that involves colleagues teaching colleagues, so providing an active circuit of useful information.  In this way, participants also acquired basic skills in carrying out information, education and communication activities on reproductive health issues.

Abortion through telemedicine; 🔹Family planning and contraceptive methods; 🔹Modern methods of contraception; 🔹Modalities of prevention of sexually transmitted infections; 🔹HPV vaccination; 🔹Socially vulnerable groups and access to health services in the Republic of Moldova etc…

The participants of the training acquired the necessary knowledge and skills to organise peer-to-peer activities on their own in educational institutions or in their community.

This training, like many others of its kind, is organised with the support of the Equality Fund within the SAAF project. The RHTC team is convinced that correct information and free access to truthful and useful information will always be one of the pillars that underpin the foundation of a healthy society, which tends towards progress.
