
The 6th round of the "Summer Challenge" camp at the Adam Mickiewicz Library was completed.[:]
Within the framework of the project “Strengthening Moldova’s social cohesion and resilience to the Ukrainian refugee crisis” with the support of Solidarities International, the 6th round of the “Summer Challenge” camp at the Adam Mickiewicz Library came to an end.
During the 2 weeks of the camp, children attended thematic discussions, English lessons and music lessons, as well as participated in:
- Erudition Contest: “In Honor of the Romanian Language”;
- Interior Design: eco project “Decorating the balcony with decorative plants”;
- First Aid;
- Reading Circle – read at least 20 minutes daily;
- Information campaign: “Together for your safety”, organized by the Central Inspectorate of Police;
Underwent interesting challenges and learned something new through various workshops such as:
- Creative workshop: “Finishing an ECO tortilla”;
- Creative workshop: “Painting on ECO lanterns”;
- Creative workshop: “Finishing of bracelets and bookmarks made of recycled materials”;
- Creative workshop: “Friendship bracelets”;
- Creative workshop: “Painting of summer flowers”;
- Creative workshop: “Making bookmarks from recycled materials”;
- Creative workshop: “Weaving friendship bracelets”;
- Creative workshop: “Making a personalized mask from recycled materials”, together with the Intersos Moldova team;
- Gardening workshop: ECO-garden on the windowsill (planting beans);
- Cooking master class: Chocolate cake;
- Cooking Master Class: Cooking pizza;
- Cooking Master Class: Strawberry Jelly in a glass;
- Musical workshop – language exercises and learning the song “Children of Moldavian Land”;
- Musical workshop: Modern dances;
In the day camp “Solidarity, Equality, Peace” children met Alina Trofim, a playwright who tells children about “Secrets of Vegetables” in poems.
At the event, the children were also able to meet the illustrator of this book, the wonderful artist Elena Popescu.
The children – participants of the camp – had the opportunity to discover the vitamins hidden in every vegetable on our table, and through poems to learn about healthy eating.
The admonitions “Enjoy reading” and “Color with pleasure” – this is what the children received at the end and, of course, a book with an atograph.
The Romanian Language Day was celebrated within the framework of the festival “Magic of the Word”, organized at the Central Library of BM “B.P. Hasdeu” in partnership with the School of Arts “Alexei Starcea”.
Children from the day camp “Solidarity, Equality, Peace!”, also took part in the musical medallion “Song of the Romanian Language”.
Under the guidance of the singing teacher and interpreter Adriana Spunei, the children sang the song “Children from the Moldovan land”.
Of course, we did not do without exciting excursions, where the children got new emotions:
- Excursion to the public garden “Stefan cel Mare”;
- Excursion to the General Staff Regiment “Brigadier General Nicolae Petrique”;
- Trip to the Zoo Club in the village of Bardar;
- Excursion to the Valea Morilor Park;
- Excursion to the House-Museum “Alexandru Donici”, Orhei;
- Trip to the library “Targoviste”, branch of “B.P.Hasdeu” B.M;
- Visit to the police sector No. 3, I.P. Buiucani;
- Presentation of thanks and certificates of appreciation to our partners, Police Sector No. 3, Buiucani Police Station;
- A trip to the National Botanical Garden “Alexandru Ciubotaru”;
Plus, the children had an active lifestyle: outdoor games and walks, picnic, sports and trips to nature.
